MEMO:宇宙の創造と人の霊的形成

　アーメン。そしてこれは、宇宙の創造だけでなく、私たち個々の人間との関わりにおいても同じだと思う。霊的形成とは、まさにそういうプロセス。神様には、瞬時にして宇宙を創造することも可能だったのに、あえて長い年月をかけて徐々に形作られていく方法を選ばれた。人間のことも、救われたときに瞬時にしてその思考から行動パターンから何から何まで、「新しく」造り変えることも可能なのに、あえて長い時間をかけて、神と人との日ごとの関係の中で、プロセスを通って精錬され整えられていく方法を選ばれた。

　ダラス・ウィラードは、霊的形成についてこう言っている。

キリストにある霊性の形成は、秩序だったプロセスです。神は秩序なしにでも勝利できるお方ですが、それは神の選んだ方法ではありません。神にとって「可能なこと」だけに目を留めるのでなく、私たちとの共同作業の手段として神が「選ばれた」方法を、へりくだって受け入れるべきです。

　そう、神にとって「可能なこと」だけに目を留めるのでなく、神が「選ばれた」方法を、へりくだって受け入れなければならない。
