パスターのカウンセリング

　先々週、うちのパスターは、コロラド州の山麓にある Blessing Ranchという、クリスチャンリーダー専門のカウンセリング施設に奥さんと二人で行って来た。ここに行くのはもう３度目になるそうで、問題があるから行くのでなく、問題が起きる前に適切なヘルプを得ることで内側にジャンクを溜め込むことがないよう、いわばデトックスするらしい。山小屋に１週間こもり、結構インテンスな個人（及び夫婦）カウンセリングのセッションと、大自然の中で一人きりになっての黙想の時間などがあるそうだ。
　パスターは、彼のブログの中でこう言っている。

Listen, I'm well aware that Satan's best tactic would be to take our marriage or me down. We may not be on his “Ten Most Wanted” list, but he knows how much damage it could do. So Denise and I are committed to working on our relationship and we need help doing it. I hope you will all do the same. Even if it’s reading some books or going on a marriage retreat – get some help! I'm setting the example here.

　このパスターは、本当に大切なものをよくわかっていて、ちゃんとそれに高い優先順位を与えているんだなぁ。そしてそれを実践することで、彼も言っているように、私たちに模範を示してくれている。とてもありがたいことだと思う。Thank God for my pastor!
